What’s Happening in NOTL in December
Friday, December 1st – Candlelight stroll, 6:30 p,m. – 9:30 p.m.
The Candlelight Stroll is hugely popular with proceeds going to charity. Candles can be purchased at the historic Courthouse for $5. There are performance by members of the Shaw Festival and the Niagara Star Singers from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Santa Claus will also be there.
Saturday, December 2 & Sunday, December 3 – Rotary Holiday House Tour, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day.
Visit six uniquely decorated Niagara on the lake homes (all within walking distance of the cottage) plus cultural and historic sites. Tickets are $45 (including a wine tasting) and all proceeds go to charities supported by the Rotary Club of Niagara on the lake.
Saturday, December 9th – Christmas Parade 11:00 a.m.
The hugely popular Niagara on the lake Christmas parade starts at King & Centre Streets in old town (only three blocks from the cottage) and ends on Queen Street.
Saturday, December 9th and Sunday December 10th – A Garrison Christmas at Fort George, noon to 4 p.m.
Visitors will experience Christmas traditions from the 19th century as the Fort George will be decorated up for the holiday season.
Thursday, December 14th – Third Annual Christmas Tractor Parade, 6 p.m.
Fifty or more tractors decked out with Christmas lights and decorations take to the streets of Virgil. It is really quite incredible.
